About Cleethorpes, Grimsby

We sat at the mouth of the sea but we were not scared because the beach was well protected by Cleethorpes Rescue. Rather, we were delighted by what we saw at this sea front which provides views of shipping traffic entering and leaving the Humber for other ports. Apart from two large fortifications (the Humber Forts) which were visible from this spot, we also saw the lighthouse situated on Spurn Point because it was a clear day. There are also a few shops (ice cream, games arcade) And how glad we were to see a large boating lake with many varieties of water birds like ducks, swans and geese! After spending some time with the birds, we rounded off our trip with a visit to a nearby yacht club.
